FROM HISTORY TO THE PRESENT

Euro-Trend was founded on January 19, 1990, when it was established as a manufacturing cooperative, which at that time was the only possible form of private business for several persons. The limited liability company was established in 1994. Its founder was Jiří Nekovář, who was also the majority owner until 14 February 2024, when the company became part of BDO Czech Republic and was renamed BDO Euro-Trend s.r.o.

Jiří Nekovář remains the head of the company. 

Monika Lodrová became the second managing director of the company.

The company is still located at Senovážné náměstí 978/23, Prague 1 - Nové Město.

Ing. JIŘÍ NEKOVÁŘ, Ph.D.

Tax advisor with serial number 002 and certified research and development advisor.

  • In 1993, he was at the birth of the Chamber of Tax Advisors of the Czech Republic, in the first 3 years he served as Vice President, then from 1996 to 2011 he served as its President.
  • He was elected Vice President in 2006 and served as President of the Confédération Fiscale Européenne (CFE) in 2013 and 2014.
  • He is currently a member of the Coordination Committee of the Minister of Finance for Taxes and a member of the Ministry of Finance's National Discussion Group on Taxes.
  • In December 2010, he was appointed as a member of the National Economic Council of the Government (NERV) and since 2011 he has been a member of the Legislative Council of the Government's Working Committee on Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA).
  • From 2000 to 2006 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the General Health Insurance Company
  • From 2002 to 2021, he was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the ČEZ Foundation
  • He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Economics, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Brno University of Technology and a member of the Academic Board of the private university Akademie STING in Brno
  • He was appointed as an arbitrator of the Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic. Until 2019, he served as President of the Public Oversight Audit Council and is currently a member of its Presidium.
  • In November 2015, he was appointed Honorary Tax Advisor of AOTCA. He is also a founding member of the Global Tax Advisory Platform and was elected to the position of Executive Board Director of CFE in September 2020.
  • He is Chairman of the Audit Committee of ČEPS, a.s. and Colt CZ Group SE
