The BDO tool for compiling financial statements for entrepreneurs

In 2025, BDO is introducing a new Excel tool to increase the efficiency and quality of compiling financial statements and annexes to financial statements for businesses (accounting in accordance with Decree 500/2002 Coll.). The tool will be distributed free of charge to all interested parties with the aim of improving the quality of financial statements in the Czech Republic. 

Functionalities: 

• preparation of financial statements from trial balance balances and CF source documents (language versions CZ, DE, EN, individual and consolidated statements in all variants according to the size of the accounting entity) 

• export of financial statements to a separate Excel file for further use outside the tool 

• calculation of the size of the accounting entity and audit requirements (including the application of the amendment to the Accounting Act by Decree 316/2025 Coll.) 

• calculation of the size of the group of accounting entities 

• option to export a file with statements for loading into the TaxEdit application, from which XML files can be created for importing data for tax returns 

• compilation of financial statement appendices (language versions CZ, DE, EN, individual and consolidated) 

• graphical indication of the minimum content of the Notes according to the size of the accounting entity and automatic filtering of unnecessary text 

• automatic checking of unfilled data and consistency of amounts with financial statements  

• automated transfer of numerical data from the Notes to the following period 

• Export of the resulting text of the Notes to Word for further use outside the tool
