On 20 2024, the Government approved an amendment to Government Decree No. 595/2006 Coll., on the method of calculating the basic amount that may not be deducted from a debtor's monthly wages during enforcement. The changes are effective from 1 January 2025, but are now applied according to the date of payment of the wages. Thus, it has already affected the calculation of executions in December wages paid during January 2025. The updated regulation brings an increase in the uncollectible amounts for both the obligor and dependents. It also modifies the scope of dependants. The spouse or partner of the obligor will now be considered a dependent under the Civil Code or the Registered Partnership Act only if the obligor proves to the payroll payer that he or she or the spouse or partner has been granted an old-age pension, a second- or third-degree disability pension or an orphan's pension.
