BDO, a leading provider of audit and advisory services, has announced a merger with EURO-Trend Audit, a company that has been operating on the market under the leadership of Petr Rynes, a prominent figure in Czech accounting, since 1999. This strategic move expands the expertise and capacity of BDO's audit team to provide an even higher level of service to clients.
"By combining our teams, we are strengthening not only our professional background, but also our capacity to provide excellent services. Our clients can be assured that their needs will be addressed with maximum expertise and in line with current market developments. I am pleased that we are joined by colleagues who share the same professional values - they care about quality and pride themselves on fair relationships," said Jiří Liberda, auditor and partner at BDO.
EURO-Trend Audit, founded in 1999 by Ing. Petr Rynes, specializes in audits in accordance with Czech and international accounting standards, including audits of public interest entities, audits of consolidated financial statements, special audit reports for banks, state authorities or other entities, as well as corporate advisory services during reorganizations. Its clients include large Czech companies and branches of foreign companies - from industry and construction, services, investment funds and public administration.
The founder of the company, Petr Ryneš, is a prominent figure in Czech accounting. He worked at the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic and in the methodological department of the Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic. His publication Double Entry Accounting and Financial Statements is now in its 24th edition. He has long been involved in the development of national accounting standards and legislation as a member of a number of expert committees - for example, the Council of the CSA, the Committee for Harmonisation with the EU, the Coordination Committee of the Minister of Finance and the Accounting Development Section. In addition, he is also a lecturer.
Michal Šindelář, an experienced auditor, is also joining BDO. He is an assistant professor at the University of Economics in Prague, where he also holds a doctorate in accounting and financial management, and is a member of the Chamber of Chartered Accountants. He has extensive experience in auditing, including audits of public interest entities, and specializes in the application of IFRS and audit methodology. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic and serves on the Audit Methodology Committee and the Audit Examination Committee. His scientific and lecturing interests include the quality of audit services and the interconnection of law, accounting and taxation.
The third new member of the audit team is Karin Prchlíková, who has worked in the field for many years and is involved in auditing financial statements of companies across various industries. She graduated in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Economics and gained her experience first in the field of bookkeeping, later specializing in auditing.
The strengthening of audit services was preceded by a connection with tax experts
The merger with EURO-Trend Audit was preceded last year by the merger of BDO with the tax part of EURO-Trend led by Jiří Nekovář, former president of the Chamber of Tax Advisors of the Czech Republic and the European Confederation of Tax Advisors, now a partner of BDO, who joined the company with his team of tax and economic experts.
"These synergies confirm that BDO is growing not only naturally, organically, but also by joining with traditional firms in the market and with prominent personalities in the professional world. And I appreciate that very much. The background of a strong consulting company gives clients the assurance of a wide range of services and a high level of service. I am delighted with the arrival of new colleagues, their expertise and the trust they place in BDO," said Miroslav Jandečka, BDO's Managing Partner in the Czech Republic.
