Executive summary
Michal has extensive knowledge of Czech and international accounting standards (IFRS). He regularly coordinates and performs audit engagements of Czech companies, subsidiaries of multinational corporations and audits of consolidated financial statements in accordance with Czech accounting standards and IFRS.
His audit engagements also include audits of public interest entities (mainly investment funds). He also has experience in audits of companies operating in the manufacturing, services, software development and retail sectors.
He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic and also serves on the Audit Methodology Committee, the Audit Examination Committee and is a member of the Editorial Board of the journals Auditor and Auditing.
His scientific and lecturing interests include the quality of audit services and the link between law, accounting and taxation.
Michal is a certified auditor (KA ČR) and a certified accountant (ICU).
Since 2025 he has been the Chairman of the Management Board of BDO EURO-Trend Audit, a.s.
